On Wednesday, May 7, 2025, from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., the School of Liberal Arts Language Centre, University of Phayao, conducted an English proficiency training session in preparation for the C1-level UP-STEP assessment. The proficiency test itself was held from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. in Room UB 003, University of Phayao.
The session was led by Assistant Professor Dr. Chuanpit Sriwichai, a lecturer of the English Department, School of Liberal Arts. This training and assessment were organized in alignment with the Thai Qualifications Framework for Higher Education. It was specifically designed for undergraduate students enrolled in the Bachelor of Arts in English program and the Dual-Degree English program, as part of the graduation requirements. A total of 301 students participated in the assessment.
